Ajay is Postgraduate in Chemical discipline and has over 41 years working experience which includes over 11 years in quality & process control and administration in industry and over 30 years in technical & administration activity in Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Govt. of India.

He superannuated from BIS as a Senior Scientist (equivalent to Dy. DG). While in Service with BIS, he has held many important positions, like Head of Certification Policy (Chemicals & Petrochemicals and Food) and Standards formulation/development related to Organic Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Plastics, Rubber, Cosmetics, Fragrance, Coal, Toys and Petrochemicals.

Ajay has successfully completed Lead Auditor (LA) Course for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), IS 15700 (Service Quality Management System), ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management System). He has a versatile experience of conducting technical audits (both Internal and Third party) against these International Management System Standards and inspection for BIS product certification scheme, against various Indian Standards. He has conducted over 500 audits in the Country and abroad as well. After his superannuation from BIS, on behalf of KMA Global he is assisting industry in providing technical consultancy/assistance in preparing documentation, internal audit, management review and training etc. thereby facilitating industry in getting certification from Certification Body.

Ajay has enriched experience and knowledge in conducting product inspections under the product certification scheme of BIS in the Country and abroad as well. During his tenure in BIS, he has conducted over 1500 inspections against various Indian Standards under product certification scheme of BIS, in the Country and abroad as well. After his superannuation from BIS, on behalf of KMA Global he is assisting industry (both domestic & foreign) with his enriched experience and facilitating them in obtaining BIS licence/registration under BIS Conformity Assessment Schemes (Scheme I & II). The foreign manufacturers are being technically assisted as Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) and facilitating them in obtaining BIS licence under Foreign Manufacturer Certification Scheme (FMCS) i.e. Scheme I of BIS and obtaining BIS registration under Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) i.e. Scheme II of BIS.

In development of Indian Standards, Ajay is considered to be an expert in the field of Chemicals & Petrochemicals. During his tenure in BIS, many important Indian Standards like Indian Standards for Motor Gasoline (Petrol), Diesel, Aviation Fuels, Plastics & Plastic products, Rubber & Rubber Products, Cosmetics, Fragrance, Coal, Toys (Safety of Toys) and many more, were published. After his superannuation from BIS, He is providing technical consultancy/guidance to the industry in the area of development of Indian Standards.

Ajay is a qualified and experienced trainer for imparting training to individual or industry on various management systems including Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS) as per ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. During his tenure in BIS, he has delivered over 1000 lectures on various subjects to the participants from Indian Industry (both product and service) and also to the participants from various developing Countries. After his superannuation from BIS, on behalf of KMA Global, he, with his enriched experience and knowledge, is developing industry personnel through imparting training on various management systems. As a faculty, he has been rated between 8 and 10 by the participants, on 0-10 point scale.
